This dialogue will address recent research, public policy, and practice in the area of community/urban gardens and public health. The positive impact of exposure to green spaces on individual health outcomes and well being has long been documented. This dialogue will look at this interesting relationship and will also explore the larger impact that the integration of green spaces into the urban fabric has on surrounding communities. Professor Richard Ingersoll, of Syracuse University in Florence/New York University Florence, Alberto Zanobini, of the Regione Toscana, and a panel of practitioners will provide insight into this cutting edge field from various perspectives.
