Alessandra Capodacqua
NYU Florence

Born in Naples, Italy, Alessandra lives and works in Florence. She is a teacher of photography, a curator of exhibitions and a photographer, who constantly expands her artistic development by experimenting and mixing new digital technologies, analog photography and alternative printing processes. Her favorite photographic equipment includes pinhole and toy cameras, as well as mobile devices. She teaches photography at New York University, Florida State University, SACI and Fondazione Studio Marangoni. Capodacqua teaches workshops and gives lectures in Italy and abroad, has curated various photography exhibitions and has participated in the creation of photography festivals in Italy and abroad. She is regularly invited to portfolio reviews. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and published in books and magazines. Capodacqua’s photographs are held in private and public collections, including the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence.
