The conference celebrates the 25th anniversary of Primo Levi’s death and focuses on the question of ´the last witness.´ What will happen when there are no remaining survivors of the Nazi extermination camps? How, and in what manner, will the sons, daughters, and grandchildren of survivors transmit the memory of their experience to future generations? In what manner will the memory of the Shoah change? A distinguished group of intellectuals and writers will address these questions from different perspectives.
