Martin Kollar
BACK
Photojournalist

Martin Kollar, born in Czechoslovakia (now Slovak Republic), has been working as a freelance photographer and cinematographer since he graduated. He works on long term projects. He received grants and awards, and in 2008 he received the Backlight photography Award in Finland for his photographic series Not Guided Tour. Kollarīs documentary photographs illustrate the everyday work in the European Parliament from a perspective through which the daily routine appears comic, absurd and subtly humorous. He published 3 books: Nothing Special (Actes Sud 2008), Cahier (Diaphane 2011) and Field Trip (Mack 2013), from his most recent project on Israel, where the photographer takes the reader through an unexpected vision of that country.
